Management of Camel Bite Injury: Case Report

Abstract

|
Animal bite injury is not a surprising event, but biting from camel is a surprising event in Korea. It usually happens in countries where camel is used as a transportation. In Korea, there is a camel riding in the zoo. That means the event of camel bite is also existing in Korea. We experienced managing 28 years-old lady who was bitten from camel in India. 3 weeks of broad spectrum antibiotics which covers MRSA and rabies vaccination were used with daily saline irrigation. Delayed closure was performed on 28th day of injury, and there was no complication.
